500px Photo ID: 85356849 - PLEASE VIEW ON BLACK We were fortunate enough to make a quick stop at Goblin Valley in August. It was very cloudy at the beginning of the night, but the clouds soon cleared and I headed out to the Three Sister Hoodoos to take some shots. I was struggling getting proper light painting done on the hoodoos, so I decided to swing my LED light around to tell a story...beam me up Scotty! The night sky was so crisp and it was the most stars I have ever seen. Just above the hoodoo on the right you can see the Andromeda (M31) galaxy, our neighbor in our local galactic group.
