Only a few men mining here have gas masks and are exposed to extreme heat and sulphurous gas fumes escaping from the crater. To make about 13 US dollars, they have to make the trip down the crater twice, a prime example of modern slavery.The 14 tons of Sulphur extracted here daily will make it's way to China and South East Asia.
